The Guild, Calgary

The Guild Restaurant represents a new and exciting take on the finest traditions of butchery, cookery and bar-keeping in Canada. Located in the historic Hudson’s Bay building in downtown Calgary, the name is inspired by the guildhalls of the past, which served as meeting places for artists and merchants. Paying homage to Alberta beef, game and fowl, and with a strong emphasis on live fuels, The Guild chefs honour the region's vast bounty of resources. The Guild features three distinct spaces ideal for social celebrations, corporate events, and more.

The Pit:

A sunken space on The Guild’s main level, The Pit offers guests front row seats to our open kitchen, featuring a large Argentinean-style, wood and charcoal-burning parilla grill. The Pit can accommodate up to 25 guests for a seated event, or up to 80 for a standing reception.

The Pub:

Adjacent to The Guild, The Pub offers a warm and inviting space for smaller groups. Accommodating up to 8 guests for a seated event or 20 for a standing reception, The Pub lends itself to intimate feasts among friends, after-work cocktail parties, and more.

The Patio:

One of the largest patios in downtown Calgary, The Guild has your spot under the sun. Book off a portion of the patio for your very own cookout, and turn heads with the sight and smells of The Guild’s smoker in action. Our creative team of chefs will treat you to delicious eats hot off the ‘cue. The patio can accommodate 150 guests for half patio, and 150 for full patio.
