Savour São Miguel

As part of O&B's Winterlicious event programming, Corporate Events Chef Jamie Meireles invited guests to a culinary tour of his family’s hometown: São Miguel, Portugal. This sold-out event provided guests with the unique opportunity to sample the traditional cuisine and phenomenal flavours of Chef Jamie's culinary roots. 

During the cocktail reception, guests sipped on sangria and nibbled on Azorean-inspired canapés while enjoying the sounds of a traditional fado band. Guests were then seated at two large, beautifully decorated harvest tables to indulge in a four-course family-style dinner with wine. 

Chef Jamie thoughtfully guided guests through the elements and inspiration behind the menu, which included dishes like Caldo Verde Soup, Octopus & Potato Stew, and Traditional Cozido.  The evening ended sweetly with the popular Portuguese dessert, malasadas, and a treat-filled goodie bag for guests to take home.
