Rebecca Chan is creative, organized, and has a keen eye for detail. It’s no wonder she’s one of Toronto’s top wedding planners and coordinators. So when it came to her own wedding to Ken Leung, Rebecca worked closely with O&B Events to ensure a sophisticated, flawless reception from beginning to end.
Kicking off with a cocktail reception, 192 guests nibbled on marinated mushroom & brie tarte flambée, sake-cured salmon lollipops, and duck confit & black pepper gravy poutine. Shortly after, newlyweds Rebecca and Ken came running into Arcadian Loft, high-fiving their friends and family as they made their way to the head table. Having opted for a non-traditional seating layout, Rebecca achieved an intimate dinner party feel that facilitated for great conversation among guests.
Since the bride and groom are not “cake people”, they chose to forgo the traditional layered wedding cake, and instead served their guests warm dark chocolate cake with raspberry compote, hazelnut brittle & vanilla gelato. Post-dessert, Rebecca and Ken took to the dance floor to strut their stuff. Dancing continued well into the night, albeit not without breaks for mini grilled cheese sandwiches and BBQ pulled pork sliders just before midnight!
