Jenny and Christian's Wedding

Jenny and Christian were on top of the world when they got married on Malaparte’s rooftop terrace in the heart of downtown Toronto late July. 150 of the couple’s dearest gathered beneath a large, open white tent to observe the touching wedding ceremony at the head of a floral pillar-lined aisle. The reception that followed also took place on the terrace, enabling guests to enjoy the views, along with white sangria, wines and canapés, such as maple-cured smoked pork belly and marinated fish tacos.

Once all guests were settled at their tables in the elegant dining room dressed in white linens and vibrant yellow flowers, the bridal party entered and the first dances, including a lion dance performance, took place. Next, guests savoured a three-course dinner with main options including a B.C. salmon fillet and a peppercorn-crusted Alberta beef tenderloin (the Calgarian bride’s request). After the cake-cutting and heart-felt speeches, Jenny tossed the bouquet and invited everyone to get the real party started – the remainder of the evening was spent dancing in celebration of the new husband and wife!
